HeDPAC addresses the multifaceted challenges faced by the health workforce in the two regions, including shortages, maldistribution, inadequate retention, and performance.
HeDPAC particularly supports countries in strengthening national community health programs by integrating certified community health workers into the national civil service and into primary health care alongside community health volunteers.


Through South-South partnership, HeDPAC facilitates the sharing of innovative solutions and best practices and catalyzes national and regional policy dialogue and peer review process to monitor progress.

Our approach centers on resilient health systems with adequate infrastructure and a foundation of strong primary health care to maintain essential health services at all times HeDPAC particularly supports countries in facilitating sustained investments in health system strengthening.
It works with governments in Africa and the Caribbean regions to strengthen primary health care that can respond to current health challenges and emerging health threats through South-South partnerships.
LOCAL MANUFACTURING OF
MEDICAL PRODUCTS
HeDPAC leverages local solutions and promotes advances in technology transfer to enhance self-reliance, improve access to affordable medicines, and stimulate inclusive economic growth across Africa and the Caribbean.
Working closely with governments, academic institutions, and key stakeholders, HeDPAC is building a supportive ecosystem for local manufacturing of medical products. This includes facilitating scalable research and development, advancing innovative solutions, and strengthening regulatory and procurement systems to ensure sustainable health outcomes.
