Resilient Health Systems

The Covid-19 pandemic has demonstrated that primary health care has a critical role in keeping communities safe and healthy. Further, if countries are to achieve Universal Health Coverage, they need to have well-functioning and resilient health systems to ensure that people have access to health care services. A foundation of strong primary health care to maintain essential health services even during emergencies and future pandemics is at the core of our approach.

HeDPAC particularly supports countries to facilitate sustained collaboration and exchange of best practices among like minded governments in Africa and the Caribbean regions to strengthen primary health care that can respond to current health challenges and emerging health threats through South-South partnership.
