HeDPAC addresses the multifaceted challenges faced by the health workforce in the two regions, including education, employment, deployment, retention, and performance. 

HeDPAC particularly supports countries in strengthening national community health programs by integrating certified, salaried, and supplied Community Health Workers into primary health care alongside community health volunteers. 

Through South-South partnership, HeDPAC will facilitate the sharing of innovative solutions and best practices between the two regions.
